The Auto Union 1000
The Wartburg 311
The SAAB 92
They had something in common, a two stroke engine.
They also all lacked something which we take for granted nowadays.

The list of things these three distant cousins don’t have that we take for granted is way too long to be listed within 50,000 characters.

Very likely. No ABS either.
What I was thinking of was a water pump, because thermosyphon cooling. Each of the three makes soon dropped this and fitted pumps.
